With a variety of activities to offer, Haresot Beach is an extremely popular destination for day trips. It has a beautiful sandy beach, a basketball court, picnic tables, a playground, and a public restroom.

Perhaps one of the best perks is the parking, something that is never a concern since there is plenty of space in the parking lot and also on the road. If you are interested in boating, there is a dock and one ramp that is perfect for most any size boat.

Bryant Park

Located at the intersection of Peninsula Drive and Garfield Road, Bryant park boasts one of the sandiest beaches anywhere in the region. There are a lot of large, grassy areas for kids to play, and the long stretch of beach is available for adults to relax and enjoy the shade of tall pines during the heat of the day. The park is open year-round, from 7 AM to 11 PM, making any day a great day to play Frisbee, have a picnic, or watch the magnificent sunsets over West Bay.

This particularly, family-friendly beach includes charcoal grills, picnic tables, a nice-size playground, and enough parking for everyone. There are lifeguards on duty from mid-June to August, making Bryant Park a safe spot for swimming.

Visitors can also enjoy the historic Hessler Log Cabin. After the cabin, it is fun to re-discover historic, unspoiled trails running around and through the park. Additionally, ample opportunities exist for both bird watching and wildlife appreciation. Finally, public access to the beach allows visitors to go for a long peaceful stroll as they listen to nature and watch the sunset on the horizon.
